BROKEN SONY DISCS STILL OUT THERE
September 9, 2007 5:47 pm Sony, ARccOS
Michael Hopkins just wanted to watch a DVD that he bought. But it turns out the disc was defective due to Sony trying to DRM it too hard with some new mega ARccOS. Sony has known about this problem since April, but apparently, the broken discs are still available to buy in stores today. Anyway, if you do have a problem disc, it seems you are expected to do a bunch of Internet detective work until you figure out that you have to call Sony Pictures customer support (yes for a DVD) before you can get a replacement.
